Chairman: Dortha Jackson
The Liturgy Committee helps prepare our community to carry out the Church’s plan of worship. The liturgy, the official prayer of the Church, is facilitated by the participation of people in the wondrous act of Eucharist.
Here, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, we plan for the Liturgy through ministries that each serves a specific purpose for the four masses offered each weekend, Holy Days of Obligation, Special Services, and Seasonal Services. Since Liturgy is experienced from the Processional to the Recessional, there are many people who help facilitate the smooth transition from one part of the celebration to another. Our Liturgical Ministries include Altar Servers, Audio/Visual, Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Communion, Lector, Music, Sacristan, and Usher/Greeter.
WHO CAN SERVE
Liturgy Committee selection is by appointment through the parish priest. Our parish priest and representatives from each Liturgical Ministry serve on this Committee. Current committee members are: Very Reverend Hank Lanik, Dortha Jackson, Matthew Rowley, Allison Guse, Janet Knox, Anya Lundsburg, Steve Jackson, and Jacob Donellan.
